This Christmas was very special at our home. This is the first year that Kate really began to understand what Christmas is all about. It is also the year that Sam discovered the lights. He squeals in delight every morning when the lights are plugged in.
Kate was very excited about the Christmas story and loved playing "Mary" in front of the tree. We recruited several stuffed animals for the stable (including Ee-yore, Snoopy and her Build-a-Bear "Toffee".) Please note the wise man in the background!
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is to open our stockings and one present on Christmas Eve. Kate's stocking was heavy on "Hello Kitty" items and she proudly modeled them. (Please note the "wise man" is still lurking in the background.)
On Christmas morning we made homemade cinnamon rolls and opened our gifts. It was so fun to see the each child's reaction to their gifts. Kate was overjoyed with her Asian Bitty Baby and Sam loved his truck.
We then headed to Grandma's for Christmas with family. Kate & Sam had a ball with their cousins and were delighted with even more gifts! Kate loved the bows she found and Sam was fascinated with his new toys.
Our wonderful day had to come to an end, but not before Kate broke out her new karaoke microphone and belted out a few tunes. While she loves her new Bitty Baby, this microphone has been firmly in her grip since she got it.
